A private evening has no green room and no call sheet from an organiser. The running order is the host's, the deadline is the moment the door opens, and the work is set up wherever the light is best — a bedroom, a dressing room, a stateroom on the lower deck.

How does booking a private evening work? Inquiries come through the form below, and a quote follows with the date, the address or the berth, and the number of people being prepared already priced in. Bookings are confirmed by 50% deposit via PayPal, with the balance due on the day. Until the deposit is received the date stays open to other inquiries on a first-deposit basis, which matters most through July and August on the coast, when a single evening is often requested by more than one house. Where a concierge, villa manager, or party producer is coordinating on behalf of the host, working directly with them is welcome. How late can a private booking be made? Late is normal here. Private evenings are decided days rather than months ahead, and on the Côte d'Azur through the season last-minute requests are taken as a matter of course rather than as an exception — the Riviera Evening rate carries no same-day surcharge. Availability is the real constraint rather than notice: a Saturday evening in August is usually spoken for before a Wednesday one. For a same-day or next-day request, a message on WhatsApp reaches me faster than the form. How many people can be prepared before one evening? Everyone is prepared one-to-one, so the honest limit is time rather than headcount. A package of hair and makeup runs about ninety minutes a person, which puts three people comfortably inside a single pre-dinner window and four at the edge of it. From four people upward an assistant is normally brought in, priced as its own line on the quote, and where none is available for the date the booking can still run as makeup only, which roughly halves the time each person takes. Say how many are being prepared and by when in the form, and the running order comes back with the quote. What is needed at the villa, the house, or the yacht? A room with a window and a power socket, and a table or counter to work from. Everything else arrives with the kit — chair, mirror, lighting, and a full professional station, set up and cleared away again so the room is returned as it was found. Daylight is preferred where there is a choice of rooms; where there is not, the lighting brought in is what the work is matched to. On a yacht the same setup fits a stateroom or a saloon table, and the kit is sized to be carried aboard by tender. Will the look hold through a long evening outdoors? That is the brief a private evening is built to. Warm air, sea spray, a terrace at sunset, and candlelight after dark each pull a finish in a different direction, so bases are long-wear, finishes are set, and lashes are chosen to hold without retouching. A small touch-up kit is left with the host, matched to the lip and the setting product actually used on the night. Where an evening turns over into something else — dinner at the house and then a club, or a second night of the same party — a second session can be booked at its own rate rather than stretched out of the first. What does a private booking cost, and how is travel handled? Pricing is per person, per occasion, on location. Signature Classic covers daytime and private settings at €300 makeup, €200 hair, €400 for the package. Red Carpet Glam covers evening occasions and receptions at €400, €300, and €600. Couture Beauty is consultation-based and concept-led at €500, €500, and €850. Côte d'Azur evenings through the current season are booked at the published Riviera Evening rate instead: €300 makeup, €200 hair, €400 for the package, with last-minute included and no same-day surcharge. Calls before 7:00 AM carry €150. Where several people are prepared in one booking, a group adjustment is applied. Travel and accommodation are quoted separately as a single line on the proposal, priced for the address and the date, and a booking inside the coast's own driving distance often carries none at all.

I've worked Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture with Pritch London, and prepared looks at the Cannes Film Festival across red carpet, photo shoots, and gala evenings.
